This policy explains what information we collect when you visit wunderled.com, join our email list, or purchase a program, and how we use and protect it. Plain language, no surprises.

1. Who we are

Wunderled is an early childhood education professional development business owned by Sally Haughey. We offer training programs, memberships, certifications, digital resources, and a free newsletter for educators around the world.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Name and email address when you subscribe to the newsletter, download a free resource, or register for a webinar or event.
  • Name, email, billing address, and payment details when you purchase a program. Payment information is processed by our payment provider (see Section 5). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Profile information, comments, posts, and uploaded files when you participate in a course, community, or live event.
  • Anything you send us directly, such as support requests, survey responses, or testimonials.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring website.
  • Course progress, lesson completion, and login activity inside our learning platform.
  • Email engagement, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.

We collect this through cookies and similar technologies. See Section 6.

3. How we use your information

  • To deliver the programs, resources, and services you signed up for.
  • To send the newsletter and related educational content. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To send information about our programs, events, and offers. You can opt out at any time.
  • To process payments, issue certificates, and manage your account.
  • To respond to support requests and questions.
  • To understand how people use the site so we can improve it.
  • To protect the site, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal basis (for visitors in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

We process your information based on your consent (newsletter, marketing), our contract with you (program delivery and payment), our legitimate interests (site security, analytics, improving our services), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:

We will also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights and safety of Wunderled, our community, or others.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies to keep you logged in and make the site work.
  • Analytics cookies to see which pages are visited and how the site performs.
  • Marketing cookies to show relevant ads and measure whether they work.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where required, through the cookie banner on our site. Turning off essential cookies will break parts of the site.

7. Testimonials and community content

If you share a testimonial, a comment, or a post in one of our communities, other members can see it. We will only use your testimonial in marketing with your permission, and we will use your first name and last initial (or a name you approve) unless you tell us otherwise.

8. Children

Our website and programs are for adult educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International visitors

Wunderled is based in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws differ from those in your country. We take reasonable steps to protect your information regardless of where it is processed.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything processed before.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what categories of information we collect and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

11. How long we keep information

We keep your information as long as you have an account or subscription with us, and afterward as long as needed for tax, legal, and accounting purposes (typically up to seven years for purchase records). Newsletter data is deleted within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe.

12. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption and secure hosting, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

13. Links to other sites

Our site links to other websites, including books, tools, and partner programs. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

14. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced by email to active subscribers.
